employment advice for employees
Employment Law for Employees
We have developed a team of specialists in employment who
are able to advise SMEs, charities and individuals over a
wide range of issues from a practical stand point. Our team
has not only legal experience, but experience in house and
in the work place to provide you with realistic and practical
advice.
We are able to provide comprehensive
employment advice on all issues, working with our team of
lawyers Kelly Rogers (a Director
and head of civil litigation) including:
- compromise agreements;
- disciplinary action;
- grievances;
- disputes about your terms and conditions;
- leaving your job;
- breach of contract;
- getting dismissed;
- unfair dismissal;
- maternity and pregnancy rights
- sex / race / disability discrimination at work;
- discrimination as a part-time worker;
- discrimination as a fixed-term employee;
- TUPE
We act for a large cross-section of employees and are likely
to understand your problems and your industry.
Our team are members of the Employment Lawyers' Association
and Discrimination Law Association.
We are able to see the wider picture and give practical,
commonsense advice.
How do you pay?
We offer competitive hourly rates for a city firm, can work
on a no-win, no-fee basis if appropriate and can also act
for you if you are covered by legal expenses insurance (sometimes
part of existing household or car insurance).
We also hold a contract for Employment work from the Legal
Services Commission which means we can offer legal aid where
possible, subject to means testing. Legal Help is available
for advice and assistance in Employment Tribunal cases, but
does not cover the cost of representation. Legal aid or public
funding is available for most types of County and High Court
cases and also for appeals in the Employment Appeal Tribunal
and appeal courts.
